Art & Patronage Summit

Programme Director

The British Museum & the Royal Academy of Art, London

January 11–12, 2012

In 2012, I served as Programme Director for the Art and Patronage Summit in London, working closely with a group of philanthropists who came together to initiate and support the event. I collaborated with the organizing partners to develop the summit’s program, identify and invite speakers, and shape a series of conversations around the evolving role of patronage in the arts. Bringing together artists, curators, collectors, and cultural leaders, the summit created a platform for dialogue on new models of cultural philanthropy, institutional collaboration, and the changing relationships between artists, patrons, and the public sphere.

As part of the Summit, I developed the Project Mart scheme, a platform designed to connect artists and cultural initiatives with potential patrons and supporters. The program created a structured setting in which selected projects could be presented directly to philanthropists and cultural stakeholders, fostering dialogue around new models of cultural support and collaboration. By bringing together artists, curators, and patrons in an environment focused on exchange and opportunity, Project Mart aimed to bridge the gap between creative vision and the networks of support needed to realize ambitious artistic projects.
